July 18th 2015: Thought of the Day

“It is paradoxical, yet true, to say, that the more we know, the more ignorant we become in the absolute sense, for it is only through enlightenment that we become conscious of our limitations. Precisely one of the most gratifying results of intellectual evolution is the continuous opening up of new and greater prospects.” – Nikola Tesla

This thought of the day will fulfill the dual purpose of not only introducing an idea that will require serious rumination to grasp but will also act as a launching pad for my discussion about my extended absence from this blog and about how I am going to recommence blogging with a renewed sense of vigor to create something truly special.

In the last two months I have been constantly going through the process of getting to a potential breaking point, in which I felt I could no longer handle the complexity and work load, but right before I finally succumbed to the pressure it seemed like a flip would go on in my head and I would be miraculously functioning at a much higher level. This may seem very strange, but as I mentioned in a previous post (Read More: Why you MUST embrace negative feelings) we are all dissipative structures and therefore need pressure to allow us to evolve to a higher level.

This process has been occurring repeatedly over the last couple of months, which has helped me to improve dramatically. During this time many of my beliefs have been completely shattered, which at first was very discomforting but later became extremely liberating as I am developing a better understanding of reality.

However, I fell into a very insidious and common trap during this time period. Since my former view of reality was crumbling before my eyes, I did not feel like I could take action until I had ascertained the “truth” about reality.

Now I am starting to realize that this is just an excuse to not take risks and play it safe, which is always a losing strategy. It is absolutely essential as Nikola Tesla says to continue pushing the boundaries of your knowledge and deal with the uncertainty that arises out of the discoveries of your study. But it is NOT an excuse to not take action towards being the best version of yourself.

To truly become enlightened it is not good enough to just be aware of the massive uncertainty in the universe but to be able to embrace it and act courageously with the best knowledge available right now. This is one of the most important lessons I have learned in my life so far and I am humbled to have the venue to share this learning experience with you.

If you are wanting to join this journey of understanding reality as best as we can to allow you to be happy and chase your dreams make sure to follow this blog and stay tuned to what I have coming out. If there is anyway in which I could help support you please feel free to get in contact with me.
