I was having a conversation with one of my cousins yesterday and he exclaimed how do you have time to post articles on your blog? As soon as he asked me that question, the quote above instantly popped into my head. Especially in today’s day age we are all obsessed about doing more and more in less and less time (which is one of the primary causes of the skyrocketing of stress related diseases).
However, as the beautiful metaphor above indicates it is much more important and more time should be devoted towards improving your general capacity to preform great work (sharpening your axe) instead of just blindly doing as much as you can (chopping down the tree with the axe).
This is exactly why I meditate two times a day for 20 minutes (Read More: How Meditation Makes You Smarter), write in my gratitude journal every morning (Read More: How Keeping a Gratitude Journal Not Only Makes You Happier but also Smarter). Both of these modalities not only improve my sense of well-being but allow me to become better at performing any task I wish to complete.
Therefore, if you want to achieve your full potential and to be able to get more done with less stress it is essential that you spend time improve your general capacity to get things done well.
Be Happy and Chase your Dreams,
